Supervisor – Nonprofit Practice
BLS is seeking a professional with advanced technical skills in a variety of audit and tax areas with a strong nonprofit organization emphasis, including preparation and review of work papers, financial statements, and reports.
Sample Project Opportunities
- Planning, executing and supervising the full scope of audit and accounting engagements for a variety of nonprofit organizations
- Performing technical review and analysis of financial statements
- Primary liaison between the client and the Manager or Director
- Staying compliant with pronouncements of professional and other regulatory groups
- Mentoring of new staff on assignments, while simultaneously performing efficiently on engagements
- Preparation of tax returns for nonprofits and varying entities is a plus
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5-7 years public accounting experience in an audit or accounting environment with emphasis on nonprofit auditing
- CPA certification
- Strong supervisory experience and client relations skills
- Working knowledge of nonprofit audit compliance
- Ability to travel to same-day work at client locations
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of ProSystems/Axcess software, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, Microsoft Office, and other programs related to accounting and auditing
