The 2023 Forms 5500 and 5500-SF – Annual Return/Report of Employee Benefit Plan have a number of changes from previous filings. This session will discuss the recent changes, updates to Form 5558 – Application for Extension of Time to File Certain Employee Plan Returns, and the new Form 8868 – Application for Extension of Time to File an Exempt Organization Return of Excise Taxes Related to Employee Benefit Plans.
This session will discuss:
• The new Schedule DCG for Defined Contribution Group (DCG) reporting options
• The new Schedule MEP for Multiple-Employer Plans
• The new participant counting methodology for determining type of filer.
• The new administrative expenses transparency changes.
• The new compliance questions added to Schedule R.
