It’s important that we are an asset at the table with our client’s financial planner and attorney, or other advisors. We need to be part of the ‘A Team'."
About Jordon
Jordon retired on December 31, 2021 with more than 21 years of service at BLS and over 43 years in public accounting!
Prior to joining BLS, Jordon served as a partner in other prominent CPA firms, but he specifically mentions Carolyn Fausnaugh of Carolyn J. Fausnaugh & Associates, P.A. as having the most impact on his career. He credits her (one of the first female CPAs to have her own firm in Delaware) with bringing him to Delaware, and mentoring his 26-year old self on the journey of owning a CPA firm himself when he ultimately purchased half her practice.
Jordon began his two-decade long career at BLS on November 6, 2000, when he joined as a Principal with a specialty in tax. He was admitted as a Shareholder and Director on December 1, 2003 and went on to develop and expand a robust estate, gift, and trust practice. His commitment to this practice group reaped a personal reward when he was inducted into the NAEPC Estate Planning Hall of Fame in 2020 – an event that Jordon cites as one of the most gratifying of his career.
Jordon was a Director and shareholder at BLS and lead the firm’s estate and trust practice. Jordon provided tax consulting and compliance services to the firm’s higher net worth clients and business owners. He is the Past President of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) and has served as president of the Delaware Estate Planning Council and the Chester County, PA Estate Planning Council. Jordon was also a member of the AICPA Trust, Estate and Gift Technical Resource Panel and was a member of the editorial board of Thomson Reuters Focus publication.
Jordon continues to be a frequently sought out speaker both locally and nationally on tax planning and related issues and has published more than 100 articles. He has been a frequent television and radio guest and a past host of Money Talk on 1450-WILM.
